Nokia E5 Smartphone

Nokia E5, similar to a business phone, technically gifted and, unlike its predecessors, has a affordable price. The design is typical E Series models with full-QWERTY keyboard: well-knit shell, rather than wide (57 mm) and 2.36 inch screen with QVGA resolution (320 x 240 pixels). This display seems completely overtaken by current trends (with touch screens resolution huge), but in practice proves to be good enough for almost any activity.

Immediately below the display is the navigation pad that unfortunately we are not delighted with optics as does the Nokia E72. An optical trackpad is extremely useful for browsing the Internet. Thus, with only the arrow keys, you have very good control over the cursor.

Full-QWERTY keyboard is comfortable, can be used easily even with one hand. In contrast, the volume keys located on the right side pressed very hard and are almost impossible to use when the phone is on your ear. The upper part hosts the microUSB port used for transferring data and charging the battery. There is also a dedicated jack for charging the battery. For the earphone/handsfree, you have the port on a standard 3.5 mm.

Nokia E5 is running the latest version of Symbian S60 non-touch screen: Symbian OS ver. 9.3, rel. 3.2 – an intuitive, fast and stable and a pretty good application support – Ovi Store.
